Language with structure, closeness and a clear goal

At Phonem you learn German for work, everyday life and real conversations in Germany, not only for an abstract certificate.

Phonem Sprachschule was founded in 2023 because many learners need more than a generic course. They want to know how to take part in meetings at work, understand an appointment at the citizens' office, write an email to the nursery or respond clearly in the team when speed is called for. That is exactly what we offer: fixed teachers, manageable groups and contacts who stay reachable.

Hannover is a lively city with a strong job market, universities and international companies. Many of our participants come from Europe, Asia, Africa or South America and plan their next step deliberately. Language first, then career, study or family life in the region. We support this path with courses from A1 to C1, clear level structure and teaching that stays close to real situations.

Team

People behind the school

Two owners, two strong areas of expertise and one shared school in Hannover.

Phonem is run by Sabrina Alibasic and Dubravko Jusufovic. Sabrina shapes the teaching, the pedagogical direction, course planning and the work with the teaching team. Dubravko is responsible for organization, digital systems, the website, workflows and the technical development of the school. Both make important decisions together. This is how Phonem combines quality teaching with clear organization and modern technology.

Owner, Teaching and Pedagogical Management

Sabrina Alibasic

Sabrina Alibasic is the owner of Phonem Sprachschule and a German teacher with more than ten years of teaching experience. She holds a Master's degree in German Language and Literature and knows adult education from many years of practice. At Phonem, she plans courses, speaks with participants, supports the teaching team and ensures that German is spoken in class rather than just explaining rules. Her manner is calm, clear and patient. This is exactly what many people need when they arrive in Germany and want to feel more confident in the language.

Owner, Organization and Digital Development

Dubravko Jusufovic

Dubravko Jusufovic is the owner of Phonem Sprachschule and brings over 20 years of experience in IT, systems and digital processes. At Phonem, he is responsible for organization, the website, technical solutions, internal workflows and the digital development of the school. Many things that look simple to participants were consciously built this way in the background: registration, communication, documents, course management and fast accessibility. His goal is for the school to not only offer quality teaching, but also to function reliably, modernly and clearly.

Our story

Born from personal experience

Sabrina Alibasic and Dubravko Jusufovic have lived in Germany since 2018. Phonem was founded later in Hannover, born from personal experience, hard work and the desire to make German lessons more personal, clearer and better organized. Both know what it is like to start fresh in Germany, to understand appointments, fill out forms and become more confident step by step. That is why Phonem is not an anonymous school. It is a school where teaching, organization and human interaction belong together.
