CEFR classifies language competence from A1 to C2. Many employers, universities and authorities use these levels for orientation.

Frequently asked questions about exam and certificate

After passing the final exam of a full level we issue the Phonem language certificate according to CEFR: PDF with QR code for authenticity check, included in the course price.
It documents your achieved CEFR level after our final exam: four skills, transparent assessment, digital issuance and online verification. Phonem stands for binding quality, not arbitrary course papers.
For some purposes a Phonem language certificate according to CEFR may be enough. Phonem does not organise external exams such as telc, Goethe, ÖSD or DTZ. You book and pay for those separately, regardless of where you take your intensive course.
Yes. The final exam at the end of the full level is included in the course price for registered participants.
No. Final exam and certificate come only after the full level, for example after A2.2, not after the first course (A2.1).
There is a written part with reading, listening, language elements and writing and an oral part. You need at least 60% of points in all areas.
Correction and issuance usually take 20 to 25 working days after the exam day.
Via Verify certificate with participant number and issue date from the certificate. The issue date is decisive, not the exam date.
About three years after issue. After that verification data are automatically deleted.
That depends on your goal. We are happy to advise you on the right course choice and the final exam according to CEFR at Phonem.
A single course (e.g. A1.1) costs €350; if you register less than 7 days before the course starts, €390 including the processing fee. Payment is by bank transfer or cash at the school. Card payments are not accepted.

Yes. One free trial lesson (45 minutes) is available once, after prior arrangement at the office.
After completing the full level you take the final exam with us. If you pass, we issue the Phonem CEFR language certificate as a digital PDF with QR verification, included in the course fee.
