Learning goals

What do you learn in the C1 German course?

Your path

Your journey through C1

C1 stands for linguistic proficiency: You express yourself spontaneously, fluently, and accurately, even in demanding situations. Structural errors are the exception, not the rule.

At C1, you'll train on subtleties: tone, register, stylistic devices, and cultural references. You'll decode implicit meanings, recognise irony, and formulate increasingly directly in German.

Depending on the profession, university, or degree program, C1 can be a relevant goal. Always check the specific requirements with the relevant authority.

  1. You'll deepen your linguistic feel for register and style. Complex factual and literary texts are analysed and discussed. In writing, you'll formulate clearly, with structure, and persuasively, even on abstract topics.

  2. Your German will sound natural and varied. You'll master idiomatic expressions, lead academic discussions, and produce texts that are convincing even in professional contexts. C1 is particularly relevant for prospective teachers, academics, and anyone who needs very confident German skills in work or study.
